# Review updates and maintenance in Brixit CRM

Open **Settings → Updates** to see the installed version, available release information,
last check, release notes and maintenance status exposed by your installation.

## Check what is available

1. Review **Installed version** and its installation date.
2. Use **Check for updates** to refresh availability.
3. Read the available release and its notes before scheduling a change.
4. Check any maintenance or eligibility message.

An unsuccessful or stale check does not confirm that the installation is up to date.
If the page says updates are managed externally, use the installation's support process.

## Choose an automatic update window

Where scheduling is available, review the selected day, start time and end time. The
window follows the **company timezone**, including daylight-saving changes where
applicable. Select **Save schedule** and check the displayed next window.

The end must be later than the start. Review the actual timezone and next run displayed
on the page rather than assuming they match your device.

## Install an available update

When authorised to update the installation, select **Update now**, read the confirmation
and start the update. The CRM may be temporarily unavailable. Do not interrupt a running
update; follow the progress and status messages on the page.

After success, use **Reload now** if requested and verify the installed version. If the
page reports lost contact, a rollback or failure, follow its recovery message and contact
the installation administrator with the version and time. Do not repeatedly start updates
while an earlier operation may still be running.

## Maintenance information

Review the maintenance end date and any update eligibility notice. The page can also
show an installation identifier and a supported licence-file installation flow. Use a
file supplied for that installation and follow the displayed result. Maintenance and
release availability are separate from role permissions.
