# Google Calendar

Connect the Google account you use for work to see your schedule alongside Brixit activities.
Brixit manages the Google application. You do not need to enter an application ID, client
secret or callback URL.

## Connect your calendar

1. Open **Calendar** and select **Connect Google Calendar**. You can also open
**Integrations → Apps → Google Calendar** to manage the connection.
2. Sign in to the Google account whose calendar you want to use.
3. Review the requested access, complete authorisation and return to Brixit.
4. Check **Connected as** to confirm the correct Google account.

Google Calendar, Gmail and Google Ads have separate connections and permissions. Connecting
your mailbox does not connect your calendar; authorise each feature you want to use.

## What syncs

The connection uses your Google account's **primary calendar**.

- Brixit calendar events sync to Google Calendar.
- Brixit follow-ups sync to Google Calendar as calendar events.
- Google Calendar events appear in the Brixit calendar as **read-only** items. Edit these in
  Google Calendar.

This does not make Google events editable in Brixit or convert them into CRM follow-ups.

## Check the connection

Create a clearly labelled test event in Brixit with a start and end time, then check your
primary Google calendar. Create a separate test event in Google Calendar and open the same
date range in Brixit to check that it appears as a read-only Google event. Compare the times
in each calendar's time zone.

## If the connection needs attention

- **Wrong Google account:** disconnect Google Calendar in Brixit and reconnect the intended
account. Check **Connected as** before creating further events.
- **Authorisation required:** reconnect and review the requested Calendar permissions. Your
organisation may require an administrator's approval.
- **Event missing:** check the connected account, its primary calendar and the displayed date
range. If it persists, share the event time and error message with support.
- **OAuth is not configured or the service is unavailable:** contact Brixit support. This is
managed service setup; you do not need to create your own Google application.

See the [email guide](https://www.brixit.io/docs/email) to connect Gmail and the [Google Ads guide](https://www.brixit.io/docs/google) to
