Connect ChatGPT

Start by copying your server URL from Brixit → User profile → AI connections. It ends in /api/mcp and must use your company’s CRM domain. Read the connection overview for access and data-sharing details.

Add the connection

OpenAI’s current flow uses a personal plugin in ChatGPT Work. Account and workspace controls can affect availability. These steps were checked against OpenAI’s setup guide on 14 October 2026.

  1. Sign in to ChatGPT Plugins.
  2. Use the + button and choose Add custom MCP server.
  3. Name it Brixit — your company and enter your copied server URL.
  4. Choose OAuth authentication. Use automatic registration when offered; Brixit supports dynamic client registration. Leave manually supplied client credentials empty for that flow.
  5. Review the connection notice and create the plugin. Follow the sign-in prompt to your Brixit installation and approve the access you need. Leave optional write access off for an initial read-only check.
  6. Open the resulting personal plugin and install it if prompted.
  7. Start a Work chat, type @ and select your Brixit plugin.

You do not need the OpenAI publisher portal to connect your company. A publisher package or your CRM source files are not required for this custom URL flow.

Verify it works

Ask:

Use Brixit to show my connected profile, company and granted permissions. Do not change anything.

Check the identity against your CRM account. Then ask for one known contact and compare it with Brixit. Use the report and action examples after this check succeeds.

An installed plugin or a list of tools confirms setup progress; a successful tool result confirms the assistant actually reached your CRM.

Show a property

Ask “Show me BRX-106” using a reference from your own CRM. With the property-card release installed, Brixit supplies a visual card for ChatGPT’s supported app view: photos, recorded price and rental period, property facts, description, amenities, location, floor-plan links and tours. You do not need to ask for a table or choose a presentation format. The card reads the listing again using your current permissions.

Use the thumbnails to browse photos and Open in Brixit for the CRM record. Externally hosted photos or failed previews have clickable photo links. Missing details are identified instead of guessed. If your ChatGPT connection does not display app cards, the assistant can still show the same facts and links in its answer.

This presentation excludes private owner and employee contact details. An explicit owner question remains subject to the CRM’s separate owner permissions. Ask for a PDF brochure when you need a file; see PDF brochures and reports.

If you cannot connect

If custom MCP or Work is missing, check your account’s available features and ask your workspace administrator about plugin restrictions. An OpenAI Platform login is separate from a ChatGPT login. Publisher identity verification does not enable an end-user connection.
