Connect Gemini
Gemini’s custom app feature can connect to a remote MCP endpoint. Brixit provides that endpoint inside your CRM, but availability in Gemini is controlled by Google.
Check availability first
As checked on 14 October 2026, Google’s dedicated custom app guide requires a user aged 18 or over in the US, a personal Google account, English and Keep Activity enabled. It does not support work or school accounts for this flow. Check the current Google requirements before setup.
If Custom apps is absent, your account may not be eligible. A Brixit setting or an Antigravity installation cannot unlock that Gemini feature. On 14 October 2026, a live demo connection successfully read the connected profile, a contact, a listing and pipeline report data. With Brixit 2.2.36, the live report returned all 132 open inquiry rows and all 131 stale inquiry rows, and its current-stage groups reconciled to the open total. The existing connection needed reconnection before Gemini loaded the 15 read tools. This verifies those read workflows, not every action, Google certification or a public Brixit directory listing. The report coverage improvements and expanded tools described in Reports, actions and permissions require Brixit 2.2.36.
Connect an eligible account
- Copy your server URL from Brixit → User profile → AI connections.
- On the Gemini website, open Settings → Connected Apps. Depending on your interface, this may appear under Personal Intelligence, or as Customize → Connectors.
- Under Custom apps, add your Brixit server URL and continue.
- Follow the OAuth sign-in to your own CRM domain. Brixit supports automatic client registration; manual client credentials are not needed for that flow.
- Approve read access, with optional write or CRM management access only if needed.
- In a conversation, type
@and select the connected app.
Ask Gemini to show your connected Brixit profile without changing anything. Confirm the company and permissions before trying reports or actions.
After an update, check Customize → Connectors → Brixit if Gemini cannot call its tools. If the page shows Connect, renew the connection with your intended permissions and retry. See Connection help for unavailable editing permissions or errors that remain after the actions load.
For accounts without custom apps, consider another supported AI client’s custom connection. Developer products such as Gemini CLI and Antigravity are separate clients; they are not required for the web setup above and have their own access and billing requirements.
See the connection overview for data sharing and disconnection, or troubleshooting for errors after adding the URL.
